Its getting hot outside so lets cool off with some tasty frozen treats
Hand painted art deco murals cover the walls, vintage light fixtures , a black and white tiled floor and bar stools at the counter. Sounds like an Ice cream parlor from the 1950's. but its located in downtown STL. The aptly named Fountain takes you back to a time and place with less worries and good ice cream. The menu features a variety of soups, salads, unique sandwiches, offering something to please everyone. But save room for the desserts, thats the main reason for going. Signature ice creams, floats, shakes, sundaes and almost every thing you could want in a dessert including Ice cream martinis.
If I timed this right, there should be a Burlesque show that night starting at 9pm- 11pm. I will be getting more info on the event. There will be a special theme to the show which i need more details on.
I just received a call that we will have Burlesque on Thursday July 1st. The show is from 9 pm to 11pm. There will be a $5.00 cover at the door probably starting at 8:45. I set the meetup at 7 so we canget in to have some eats and beat the cover charge( hopefully.) We will have happy hour pricing from 8pm to 11pm.
The girls are doing a new concept. The show will be Burlesque Bingo. It sound like fun and we are looking forward to this unique event.
Rats! Was actually considering going, then remembered I have a Humane Society meeting to go to. :(
