Cork wine bar a cool place to go. It is a new Only opened in October and I have been several times with and without meetup.

Cork Wine Bar is a new restaurant in Ferguson. With a selection of more than 100 wines, it is sure to be a dining experience to remember. The restaurant also offers local and other craft and import beers, along with signature martinis. There is also a food menu, including some plates made with fresh, local ingredients and Desserts are locally made too – at Ferguson’s own Cose Dolci bakery. The walls are lined with colorful work from local artists. The eco- friendly bar also boasts a bar top is made from recycled cork, as are the menus. Also Cork has teamed up with a local organic grower to provide organic produce when in season and all of the food waste generated by CORK will be used to make compost at the Old Ferguson West Community Garden. NOTE No AB products are available and the bar is smoke free.

As far as the food... Cork offers Tapas style plates( small plates) in the $5-to-$14 range, most are $7-to-$10. I was expecting a meal to require at least two selections. But two are filling for a normal appetite, many are satisfied with just one plate. I have not tried everything on the menu, but I do recommend the white pizza, featuring chicken and artichokes. The menu is constantly updated, since I was there last month, there are a half dozen new items.

This is my first meetup with the group, I'm working with Vicki on this one. As usual, I plan to arrive a bit early, closer to 6:30 probably. Hope to have a good turnout, look forward to meeting everyone and making new friends. I am an Organizer of my own group and an Asst. O on 2 other groups, as time permits I plan to post some more events and visit some old favorites and try new things with this group.
